For the week of January 20-23, 2015

Happy Martin Luther King Day (There is still a long way to go to really achieve the dream of Doctor King)!!!

Subject matter is first come first served ! Discover great African Americans and remember America is the melting pot and there are many sides to American history and that African American history is American history...

The paper should be typed in APA style: double space, but remember do not double the double space. When you start a new paragraph remember to indent/12 font, times new roman
The paper should be at least 2 pages with a strong introduction (something exciting that will grab the attention of the reader/never start it with "He was born". The body should be more informative, and finally your conclusion should summarize the main points of the body. This paper should also include footnotes and bibliography.
We will spend time in the computer lab to help you along with your paper. All students should have a USB flash drive, Google Drive or any personal account that computer work can be saved on.
Papers will be graded with a rubric based on AP style typing, introduction, body and conclusion as well as speech delivery.

Separate from the paper, student must give a speech on the subject matter using index cards. The length of the speech will be for eighth graders 5 minutes, seventh graders 4 minutes, sixth graders 3 minutes. Students will be graded on knowledge of the subject matter/ making eye contact with audience/ time accuracy...
