African Awareness Project

Final due date Monday 2/24/14 for sixth and seventh/ eighth grade Tuesday 2/25/14

Paper and Speech (AP Style-12 font, times new roman, double space, bibliography, footnotes-d the paper should be at least three sources and at least two pages/you need at least three quotes for your footnotes)

Index cards with bullet points only (students cannot have paragraphs, bullet points only)

Rubric will be broken down in 5 parts 20 points each.

Time , eye contact, Intro, body, and conclusion (this includes footnote and bibliography)

Important Dates to Remember

First rough draft written 2/3/14

Second rough draft typed and index cards

Final draft typed and index 2/24/14

Sixth grade speeches 3 minutes

Seventh grade speeches 4 minutes

Eighth grade speeches 5 minutes

Practice working on your speeches daily/work on timing yourself

Points will be taken off if it’s too long or too short
